Each person in his or her particular role is committed to the Vision, Mission, and Values of our organization.

Apostle Juan
& Apostle Vernice Woods
Were called to the ministry in 1981 at Church of God. Pastor Juan Woods then became Assistant Pastor at Full Gospel Assembly from 1986 to 1990. The Pastors were later called to Rhema Christian Center where they served under the ministry of Apostle La Fayette Scales. Apostle Juan and Apostle Vernice were ordained and released from Rhema in May 1996 and founded the ministry at Triumphant Christian Center.

Juan Woods, Sr., was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio where he met and married his wife, Vernice. They have two children, Mechele and Juan Jr. Juan is the Senior Pastor of Triumphant Christian Center in Columbus, Ohio. Juan received Christ into his life in 1978 and served in various ministries as an Elder and Assistant Pastor then he was called to Rhema Christian Center in 1991. He served under the leadership of Rhema for six years before ordained and called to begin Triumphant Christian Center. Pastor Juan was ordained Apostle in 2008 by LaFayette Scales, Apostle of Rhema Christian Center.
Apostle Woods has a passion to see the church grow and walk as mature believers. Apostle Woods heart is to work with other leaders to help fulfill God’s call on their lives. He has strong desire for leaders to come together in this city, state, nation and the world in unity. Also to see God’s people delivered, set free and walking in the power, freedom and liberty as a Kingdom citizen.

Vernice Y. Woods, Senior Pastor of Triumphant Christian Center was born in South Dakota, and moved to Columbus, OH were she met Apostle Juan Woods, Sr. Vernice has a beautiful family Mechele, Juan Jr., Natasha and four grandchildren Juan III, DaJuan, Niya, Christian, and Joelle. Pastor Vernice served at Church of God MPG of Truth and then later served at Full Gospel Assembly where she was released to go to Rhema Christian Center. Vernice Woods was a member of Rhema Christian Center for 6 years before she was released and ordained by Dr. LaFayette Scales as Pastor in May of 1996. Vernice and Juan started Triumphant Christian Center on June 6, 1996. Vernice was later ordained an Apostle by Apostle Juan Woods, Sr. in 2021. Hallelujah!
Apostle Vernice has a heart and passion for women to see that they come into their full destiny and purpose.
